Mike's going to the beach

By Mike Smith

11th of December 2015

OK boys and girls...that is enough blogging for the year. Uncle Mike is knackered and the sea is calling him big time.

So I am going to wax down my dilapidated long-board and head for the beach. Time to take a break…to just forget about all the shit in this country and just soak up the only good thing that is left over, the beauty of South Africa’s nature.

But which Cape beach? So many to choose from. Nevertheless, if you are looking for me, I will be on one of them.

Have a nice Christmas, a Happy New Year and we will carry on the fight in 2016. See you soon.

Uncle Cracker out.

A WARNING FOR THE FOLKS HERE! Just don't go anywhere near Durban's beachfront beaches The blacks overrun the place to the tune of 3 million plus over the festive season. Nothing but total chaos on every front for the whole of the festive period. Everything from inadequate toilet facilities, drowning fatalities, crime and numerous lost children only but a few to mention. Nothing good will be happening there for sure. Stay away from it its just a massive cesspool of disorganized uncontrolled black crap.

Enjoy the Cape weather Mike. Us two toppies are staying inside in the shade with the aircon on until notice of cooler weather. Sjoe but it's varken hot in KZN. I mean 38 in the shade, nee fokkit. But there's a church right behind us with a huge big Christmas tree with lots of lights and carol singing going on. God seen alle Christene en bewaar die patrys innie peerboom.

    1. Dankie ou maat. Ek gaan nou lekker swem, bietjie kreef duik by Rooi Els en Betties en 'n hond uit 'n bos surf waar die branders juig.

    2. Sure thing. I now live near Liverpool, but the wife's family is from up there so I go up there quite a bit. Let me know if there is a way of privately contacting you.

  10. You're doing the right thing Mike.

Out of a whole lifetime of school or work, almost the only memories I care to recall are of days I spent at the beach.

    1. Exactly. It is about the only thing I remember from growing up in the Strand. Milk Bay, that beach and the surf...And those signs that said, "Strand en see slegs vir blankes", God my childhood was like heaven.
